The American Eagle English School
*
Our mission is to educate the total student by fulfilling the intellectual, social,
emotional, and physical development.
*
Provide a learning environment that is conducive to developing each student's fullest
intellectual potential.
*
High expectations and student achievement are highly correlated. Learning is social;
therefore, students need an environment that fosters creativity, risk-taking and
independence.
*
A student centered, print rich classroom that incorporates reading, writing, listening,
and speaking helps to promote independence in using the English language.
*
Positive character traits play a major role in student's success in an ever-changing
world.
*
Parents are an essential part of the education process.
*
Highly qualified and dedicated teachers are fundamental to a successful education
program.
*
When schools work with parents, teachers, students, and the community as a team,
children have a greater chance of learning success.
Curriculum

We strive to create an environment that is both fun and educational. We teach all of our
students that learning English is fun. The classes are a planned day of an opening question
to practice listening and speaking skills. Then, students learn a grammatical structure by
practicing to write and speak the grammatical structure. Finally, students read a short story
and talk about the story in English.
Every month there is a new curriculum complete in all subjects. The basic subjects
taught are: grammatical structures, phonics, writing, reading, listening and speaking.
Students are taught and encouraged to speak to the teacher and their classmates in
English.
Our goal is to guide the student into being able to communicate their thoughts freely in
English.
Grammar
Students learn a wide range of grammar and vocabulary to learn about the
world and to talk about their personal lives.
Writing
Students learn how to write their thoughts correctly with the guidance of a
native English speaking teacher.
Phonics
Learning the proper sounds of each letter helps students acquire better
pronunciation skills and also learn how to spell words.
Reading
Students read to improve their reading comprehension skills.
Culture
There is a short culture lesson each class. Students are taught the culturally
correct way to use English.
Communication Club
Students who study English need to continue their English studies throughout their entire
school life. This club is for students who have graduated from an English kindergarten or
have lived in a native English speaking country learning and practicing English. Students
are all of elementary ages. Students may attend once a week or more often to maintain
and raise their current English level.
