* In 2006, Randall took 10 students to Atlanta, Georgia to study for 2 weeks at an American elementary school. During the 2 weeks, the students visited and studied at 3 different American elementary schools. Two schools were private and one school was a public school. The Japanese kindergarten students were placed in various first grade classes and studied alongside American students. The Japanese students ate lunch and also played with American students. Some parents went along for the trip. After school, Randall took the students to various places such as the: Children's museum, Children's Museum of Science, Stone Mountain Park, Barbeque with American Students at a local park, Aquarium and other places. The Japanese students also went to a different restaurant every night to practice ordering and speaking to other American adults. The students were also taken to various shops in the city to practice shopping in English. All events were carefully monitored by Randall and the 5 mothers who went on the trip.
